Palm Passion Sunday

At the end of every episode of my favorite podcast, “TheMoth,” the host says, “We hope you have a story-worthy week.” That statementalways gives me butterflies. On the one hand, I love hearing and telling a goodstory. On the other hand, a “good” story usually comes about through a momentof some kind of crisis or uncertainty. Good stories, even those with happyendings, imply times of pain or fear along the way. This week, we remember thefounding story of our faith as Christians. Some call it The Greatest Story EverTold. It starts with cheering; in the middle there’s jeering; and it ends withpeering into an empty cave. This Palm/Passion Sunday, we tell the first andsecond parts of the story. On Maundy Thursday, we take a pilgrimage throughwhat it means to be faithful to Jesus in our present day. (Look for more onthat later in this newsletter.)  And then on Easter Sunday, wow, thesurprise ending is revealed. We know that this is a story-worthy week! Pleasejoin us all week long starting this Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on our UCCMissoula YouTube channel. Holy Week blessings to all of you!—Pastor Jennifer
